What We Believe

...and why we believe it!

Transforming people to impact    their society with God's love!

Here at Dayspring we want to be the church for people who aren’t even sure if they’re comfortable with church...or churchy people! We’re a place where everyone can find love and acceptance. Our goal? Love God. Love People. We really do believe it’s just that simple!

 Authority of Scripture

We believe in the supreme authority of scripture, that it was inspired by the mind of God the Father, delivered to the saints through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, and fulfilled through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross!  We believe that through it's study it is our best and most accessible way to learn about, commune with, and become more like the God whose image humanity was created to reflect.

We believe, as we are told in 2nd Timothy 3:16 that, "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right."

Divinity of Christ

We believe that the foundation of the church is built on Christ, and Christ alone. We believe that He is the son of God, that He was born of a virgin, that He lived a sinless life, that He was willingly crucified for the sins of humanity and that He rose again three days later to offer new life and reconciliation to a lost, broken, and dying world.

We believe that, as the church, we are called to live out the teachings and principles taught by Jesus Christ so that we, too, may be a light to the world, "little christs" who point people toward the forgiveness of sins and eternal reconciliation that is only offered through a relationship with Him.

Unconditional Love of God

We believe in the unconditional love of God for the humanity that He created. Standing on the promises of Romans 8:38 we "believe and are convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow--not even the powers of hell can separate us from the love that God's has for us."

We believe that our job, as the church, is to reach out into our communities  and be the tangible ways that people are able to see, feel, and understand God's love for themselves. If we love God, we must love the hearts of His creation.
