About Our Worship

What to Expect at Dayspring!

Hey you! We’re super glad you found us! Our prayer for you is that while worshiping with with us you are able to encounter God and experience truth! We’re a pretty casual crew! Hopefully you can already feel that vibe! Here is a little about what you can expect when you visit! (Cause, come on...you know you want to visit!)

How Do I Find You and Where Do I Park?

We are conveniently located off of west SR 441 and within easy proximity to the communities of Longwood, Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Plymouth and Zellwood. Only minutes from the 441/Plymouth Sorrento Road exit off of the 429. Click HERE for map and directions.
There is plenty of parking available on the West and North sides of the building depending on if you enter off of SR 441 or come down Old Dixie Highway. (Pro tip... SR 441 is much easier, just look for our sign!)

What should I wear?

We don't really have any kind of dress code here at Dayspring and because we are a very inter-generational church that means you're going to see a wide style of dress on Sunday mornings. (Everything from jeans and flip-flops to dress slacks and loafers! Come as you are and wear what makes you comfortable. Don't stress too much over it...trust us, we won't!

Do you offer childcare or children's church?

Yes! We offer a traditional nursery for newborns to 36 months. Child care is offered during the Worship Service. Our kids ministry, called JamZone, covers our Pre-K through 5th grade and meets for children's church  on Sunday mornings and again on Wednesday evenings.

What can I expect the service to be like?

Our worship service begins at 10am and is kicked off with a time of singing with our worship band, led by Andre Pitre. At Dayspring we enjoy an upbeat and contemporary praise and worship style that includes guitar, (electric and acoustic), bass, drums, and keyboard.

We engage in a time of corporate prayer, announcements, both for our church and the surrounding community, a time of giving, the reading of scripture, and then Pastor Mark brings the sermon.

The whole service typically lasts a little over an hour and people of all ages are often involved in the service—from worship and song leaders to scripture readers and drama.

Do you have Sunday School?

We don't have a traditional time of Sunday School but we supplement our Sunday morning worship service with our mid-week Wednesday night community meal and have services and programs for both children and adults on Wednesday nights following that

Cool! Tell me about Wednesday Nights!

Our Wednesday nights kick off with a community fellowship meal that is served beginning at 5:45pm. For our church members we do collect a donation for the meal of $4 per person of $12 for a family, but our friends and guests are never expected to do so...(So, again...don't sweat it, we won't!) We'd love to have you join us!

After the meal there are classes for adults, youth, and kids that begin at 7pm and typically last about an hour.

What denomination are you?

Like a lot of churches here in Central Florida, Dayspring has it's roots in the Baptist Church and while we are officially part of the Southern Baptist Convention our fellowship has much more of  a non-denominational community church vibe! Check out our What We Believe Page for more info about our mission and core beliefs.

Are you handicap accessible?

Yes, we sure are! And don't worry there are always plenty of helping hands around to assist when/where needed.
